Meet the Hales

Hi, I'm Teacher Monique! I have dreamed of being a teacher since early childhood. Teaching is my passion. I have my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education with and emphasis on Early Childhood Education and Human Development and have been in the Education field professionally since 2001.

I believe that children learn best when they feel loved and supported and are given unlimited opportunities to experience the natural world. In my teaching, I incorporate literature, natural science, creativity, exploration, experimentation and the Living Word of Holy Scripture. Many of my lessons are bible-based and feed children's natural need to learn the truth about their world.

I am married and have two children. Eric, my husband and I have two children-- Henry and Theo. Together we enjoy hiking, camping, cooking, baking, movie nights and time at the beach. We have a dog named Chaucer and a cat named Pisha.

I am excited to open my heart and home to my neighbors and share experiences, ideas and laughter!
